I know how exciting it is to finally sit in the chair for your trial. You’ve had a Pinterest board since before you were engaged, and you’re ready to see it come to life. To make sure you get the most out of your time with us, here are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Mistake 1: Wearing a black t-shirt. If possible, wear a white or ivory top with a similar neckline to your dress. Colors reflect onto your face and can change how the makeup looks!

  • Mistake 2: The “Dirty Hair” Myth. Please come with clean, dry hair. Modern products work best on a clean canvas, and “day-old” oils can actually make your hair fall flat faster in the Florida humidity.

  • Mistake 3: Bringing a huge “panel” of judges. We love your mom and your Maid of Honor, but bringing five people to a trial can lead to “opinion overload.” Trust your gut (and your artist!).

  • Mistake 4: Not speaking up. We won’t have our feelings hurt! If you want more blush or a softer lip, tell us. The trial is exactly the time to experiment.

  • Mistake 5: Forgetting your accessories. If you already have your veil or that vintage hairpiece, bring it! It changes the placement of the style completely.
